Recent Advances in TCAD.
What links quantum transport, AI surrogate models, 3D NAND, cryogenic CMOS, and DTCO? They were all on the program of workshop W6 at ESSERC 2026, chaired by our CTO Zlatan Stanojević. The session wrapped up this morning – here’s a look back.
The lineup brought together speakers from TouCAD, STMicroelectronics, Silvaco, imec, RWTH Aachen – and GTS: Franz Schanovsky, our Director of Device Simulation, closed the session with “Design-Technology Co-Optimization: Physical Accuracy That Scales to the Circuit Level,” a walk through the full simulation hierarchy, from device physics to circuit-level figures of merit, with TCAD and SPICE working hand in hand.
