GTS is looking for a Java developer

For our headquarters in Vienna, we are looking for a Java Developer (f/m/d).

Your tasks:

  • develop new use cases, both in the backend as well as their GUI in SwingTree, our Swing based, declarative, open source UI framework
  • improve and refactor existing use cases and components
  • software development for our Java applications
  • software design
  • accessing our distributed simulation system via API
  • development in an agile environment

Your qualifications:

  • completed an information technology degree (HTL, FH, University, or similar) and/or gained work experience in a similar position.
  • excellent Java programming skills
  • a passion for source code
  • experience in network communication (e.g. message queues, sockets), data serialization (e.g. JSON)

Your personality:

  • self-organized and you have a structured way of working.
  • reliable and committed.
  • an open-minded team worker.

Nice to haves:

  • good knowledge of C & C++, Python
  • software experience: Gradle, Linux, Jenkins, Redmine

Gross salary (14 times a year) for 38.5 hours per week (proportional for fewer hours):

  • Junior Developer: starting at 3000€
  • Senior Developer: starting at 4000€, individually arranged depending on your education and work experience.
