At all times we try to only collect the information we need for the particular function or activity we are carrying out and use it in accordance with this privacy policy.

We process two basic types of information: Personal Data and Non-Personal Data. Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g., name, email address), whereas Non-Personal Data means information that does not (e.g., statistic data, simulation data).

  1. Processing is necessary to perform a contract with You, or to enter into a contract with You. This includes, for example, responding to related requests, providing customer support, notifying You about issues related to a service subject to the contract, performing other contractual obligations, or answering related questions.

MyGTS

If you register for a MyGTS account, we collect and process:

  • Contact data (gender, name, affiliation, job title, academic title, country/region, email address, whatelse?)
  • login data
  • device, usage, traffic and additional information as stated above, specific to the services provided within MyGTS

We use this information for the purposes mentioned in §1. For performing the contract with You, this includes to:

  • identify You as the account owner
  • stay in touch with You as required (e.g. answer Your requests, provide support)
  • notify You about issues regarding Our services themselves (e.g. MyGTS, SimulateOnline) that affect Your account or Your usage of the account (e.g. maintenance works, other downtimes, exceeding of quota limits or data retention periods, technical issues, changes in features, etc.)

SimulateOnline

If you choose to use SimulateOnline, we additionally store the data that you create or upload within Your use of the service (e.g. running simulations). The following conditions apply:

  • Data created in or uploaded to free / demo accounts is public to all accounts, and We may publish it or otherwise use it to promote Our products and services
  • You are not allowed to upload or otherwise store any Personal Data in SimulateOnline
  • The amount of space (quota) as well as applied policies for simulation data retention depend on Your account type – plase contact us for currently available options

Newsletter

To stay informed about TCAD-related issues and news about GTS and Our products, You are welcome to subscribe to Our low-volume newsletter (typically less than 12 messages per year).

  • If You sign up for a MyGTS account, or if You already have a MyGTS account, You can opt in to receive the newsletter within MyGTS (or opt out at any time)
  • If you do not have, or do not want, a MyGTS account, You can subcribe/unsubsscribe separately

We strive to facilitate that You can exercise Your rights (e.g. correction, erasure, etc.) directly within Your MyGTS account. 13 California Privacy Rights

If You are a California resident, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits You to request and obtain from Us, information regarding the disclosure of Your Personal Data to the third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year, free of charge, once a year.

We do not share Your Personal Data with third parties for those parties’ direct marketing use. For more information about Our privacy and data collection policies, You may wish to review Our Privacy Policy.

California residents, who are under 18 and are registered users of We, are allowed to request and have removed, any content or information that they have posted publicly. However, in cases where the law does not require or allow the removal of information, this may not be applicable. This is under California Business and Professions Code Section 22581.

California Do Not Track Disclosure: We do not track the personally identifying information of Our users and visitors over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising. 14 No Personal Data From Children

17 Third-Party Services

Google Maps

The Website can use Google Maps in order to help You locate Our office and to provide driving directions. Google Maps is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (shortly also: “Google”).

The Website shows a map preview, and below a link to Google’s privacy policy. If You click the button to load Google Maps on the map preview, Google Maps will be loaded and Google’s privacy policy and usage terms will apply. From that point onwards, Google may store Cookies on Your device and process Your data as described in their policies and terms mentioned before. We have no control over that, e.g. We cannot prevent Google from using servers outside the EU, e.g. in the USA.

FriendlyCaptcha

To prevent abuse of our web forms (e.g. running online attacks or sending spam), We use FriendlyCaptcha. FriendlyCaptcha is a service of Friendly Captcha GmbH, Am Anger 3-5, 82237 Wörthsee, Germany. More information is available at https://friendlycaptcha.com.

When you use the form, the captcha calculates the answer to a challenge in the form page, and that answer is checked by the server when accepting the form input. Data of the form fields will not be processed by FriendlyCaptcha, and any log data will be cleared after 30 days.

We entered a contract with FriendlyCaptcha for protecting Your Personal Data.

Brevo

If you opted in to use SimulateOnline, We need to send status and account information messages to You at certain events (such as, e.g. “over quota” warnings, information regarding retention/clearance of User Content Data, or Your account status). For sending such messages, We use Brevo. Brevo is a service of Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany (shortly also “Brevo”).

The data necesary to address you (your email address, name, optionally gender) and to optimize delivery (country/region) will be processed by Brevo. Additional kinds of information as stated in §2 will be processed. Brevo’s privacy policy can be found at https://www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/ .

Messages sent by Brevo generally contain means to track usage of the message, such as tracking pixels or other known techniques. This helps us evaluate when, where or if at all You read the message and/or follow links in the message, and the kind and capabilities of the device You read the message with. The data collected includes device information, usage and traffic information as stated in §2, and will be stored so that we can optimize the content as well as the design/layout of the messages to improve their usefulness to You and better match Your requirements.

We entered a contract with Brevo, for protecting Your Personal Data.

This data processing only occurs as long as you opt to use SimulateOnline; You can stop using SimulateOnline at any time by unchecking the “I want to use SimulateOnline” checkbox in your MyGTS account at https://mygts.globaltcad.com/en/profile.

MailChimp

For sending messages to You, We use MailChimp. MailChimp is a service of The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA (shortly also: “The Rocket Science Group”). The Rocket Science Group offers information about its data protection terms at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/ and https://mailchimp.com/legal/ .

The data necesary to address you (your email address, name, optionally gender) and to optimize delivery (country/region) will be processed by The Rocket Science Group. Additional kinds of information as stated in §2 will be processed, and the date and time of your subscription.

Messages sent by The Rocket Science Group generally contain means to track usage of the message, such as tracking pixels or other known techniques. This helps us evaluate when, where or if at all You read the message and/or follow links in the message, and the kind and capabilities of the device You read the message with.
