Markus Karner, CEO

Markus Karner, CEO

Markus Karner studied electrical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology. He joined the Institute for Microelectronics in November 2004, where he was involved in several European and National projects. His scientific interests include modeling and simulation of optical devices as well as modeling of quantum effects in device simulation. Since June 2007, he is the head of Global TCAD Solutions.

Christian Kernstock, CDO

Christian Kernstock, CDO

Christian Kernstock is co-founder of Global TCAD Solutions. He studied electrical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology. His responsibilities include structure generation, meshing, and visualization for scientific computing. Within Global TCAD Solutions, he is chief development officer.

Zlatan Stanojević, CTO

Zlatan Stanojević, CTO

Zlatan Stanojević studied at the Vienna University of Technology where he received his MSc and PhD degrees in Microelectronics in 2009 and 2016, respectively. His research interests include semi-classical modeling of carrier transport as well as thermoelectric and optical effects in low-dimensional structures. As CTO of Global TCAD Solutions, Zlatan Stanojević supervises GTS's R&D activities.

Hui-Wen Karner, CR Asia

Hui-Wen Karner, CR Asia

Hui‐Wen Karner received her PhD degree from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. Her research interests include modeling and simulation of field emission by surface conduction electron-emitter displays as well as nano‐scale CMOS technology. She is senior researcher at GTS, working on the research project NeGFQTs. She also manages customer relations in Taiwan and China.

Oskar Baumgartner, Senior Scientist

Oskar Baumgartner, Senior Scientist

Oskar Baumgartner studied at TU Wien, where he received the BSc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005 and the Diplomingenieur degree in Microelectronics in January 2007. He joined the Institute for Microelectronics, where he was working as research assistant. From 2013 he collaborated with GTS in the project NeGFQTS. In 2015, Oskar joined GTS as senior researcher in the R&D department. His scientific interests include modeling and simulation of quantum transport in optical and nanoelectronic devices.

Franz Schanovsky, Senior Scientist

Franz Schanovsky, Senior Scientist

Franz Schanovsky received the PhD degree in microelectronics from the TU Wien in 2013, where he focused on the atomistic modeling of the bias temperature instability in MOS transistors. After working as a post-doctoral researcher and as a software developer, Franz joined GTS as senior researcher in 2016. He is responsible for the extension and development of the reliability and variability models in the Minimos-NT device simulator.

Philipp Prause, UX Manager

Philipp Prause, UX Manager

Philipp Prause studied electrical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology. From running his own IT business, he has insight in software integration and user experience, but his true passion is product/packaging design and graphics. Having filed several patents, he earned international awards like iF Gold and WPO WorldStar. As UX Manager at GTS, Philipp Prause cares for user experience in general, and is responsible for the UI of GTS Framework. Besides, he cares for CI and the related graphics design.
